List It or Keep It?
Photograph anything you are unsure about and the AI tells you whether it is worth selling — and roughly what it should fetch — before you spend any time writing a listing for it.
What the four verdicts mean
Every check comes back as one of four answers, plus a resale range and a short reason. The verdict is the useful part: most household goods are not worth a solo listing, and knowing that up front is worth more than an optimistic price.
Worth selling on its own.
The item clears the bar where a solo listing pays for the effort. You get a resale range from comparable sold items and can turn it into a finished ad in the same flow.
Has value, but not enough alone.
Real resale value, too little to justify its own listing. Group it with similar items — a box of tools, a shelf of books — and the lot sells for more than the pieces would separately.
Little resale value, still useful.
Nobody is going to pay for it, but it works and somebody can use it. Donating clears the space immediately instead of leaving it to sit through a listing that never sells.
Not worth selling.
Worn out, worth very little, or clearly personal. Some things are worth money and some are worth memories — the check will tell you when an item is the second kind.
When to use it
The check earns its keep any time the answer is not obvious and the cost of guessing wrong is your afternoon:
- Clearing a house. Run the doubtful items first and you learn what is worth listing before you touch any of it. Pair it with the Home Scan to work through a whole room.
- Before a garage sale. Anything that comes back LIST is usually worth more as its own online listing than as a two-dollar item on a folding table. See garage sales.
- Inherited or unfamiliar things. When you have no idea what something is worth, a range from comparable sold items beats a guess.
- Deciding what to keep. A KEEP verdict on something you were about to sell is a real answer, not a failure.

Value figures are AI estimates from comparable resale listings, not appraisals. Treat them as a starting point.

Is the AI Value Check free?
Yes. The check itself costs nothing and spends no credits — you get 10 checks per day per account. A credit is only used if you act on a LIST verdict and turn the item into a real listing, so you can check a whole pile of things and only pay for the ones worth selling.
What are the four verdicts?
LIST means the item is worth selling on its own. BUNDLE means it has resale value but too little to justify a solo listing, so it should be grouped with similar items. DONATE means little or no resale value but still usable by someone. KEEP means it is not worth selling at all — worn out, worth very little, or clearly personal.
How accurate is the value range?
The range comes from what comparable items in similar condition actually sell for, not from retail prices, and it is an estimate rather than an appraisal. Treat it as a starting point: condition, timing and your local market all move the real number. For an item you believe is genuinely rare or valuable, get it appraised properly.
Do I need an account to use it?
You need to be signed in, because the daily allowance is counted per account. Signing in is free and the check stays free.
