The easiest way to find and run a garage sale

A great garage sale comes down to two things: buyers knowing it exists, and buyers knowing what's actually for sale before they drive over. ZaZooomIt is the garage sale helper built around both. For shoppers, every sale on this page lists its items and prices up front, so you can scan the lineup, spot the furniture or tools you want, and get directions before you leave the house β€” no more circling a neighborhood hoping the handmade cardboard sign was accurate.

For hosts, the ZaZooomIt garage sale app turns the worst part of a sale β€” tagging and pricing everything β€” into a few minutes of pointing your camera. Snap photos of a table, a shelf, or a whole pile, and the AI names each item and prices it from real resale comps. Everything lands on one shareable sale page with a map pin, a countdown to your dates, and a rain date, so a neighbor can preview the whole sale from their phone and show up ready to buy.

Every sale also gets its own QR code and printable signs, plus price tags you can tape onto items β€” so your yard signs point straight to the online listing and shoppers can scan an item to see its price without hunting you down to ask. It's the same technology behind our Home Scan, pointed at a driveway instead of a closet. When the weekend's over, whatever didn't sell can be flipped into a leftover bundle or listed individually across marketplaces, so nothing has to go back into the garage.

Whether you're hunting for a bargain this weekend or clearing out years of stuff, ZaZooomIt makes local selling feel modern: real prices, real photos, real directions, and a QR code on every sign. Browse the sales above, or create your garage-sale page in a few minutes.

Garage sales are one mode, not the whole product. ZaZooomIt is an advertisement-creation and marketplace-posting assistant: the same AI listing assistant that names and prices a driveway full of items will write a single finished ad from one photo, and marketplace posting help formats it for the sites you already sell on. A moving sale and an estate cleanout run through the same tools β€” only the volume and the deadline change. If you are pricing things up rather than clearing them out, the seller guide covers photos, pricing and timing.

Timing and location are everything for a garage sale, so ZaZooomIt puts both front and center. Each sale shows its start and end times, an optional rain date, and a map pin, and this directory updates live as new sales are added β€” so a shopper searching for a garage sale near them this weekend sees exactly what's happening and when. Hosts can share their sale page as a single link on neighborhood apps and social media, and because every item is already priced, buyers arrive knowing what they want. It turns the usual guesswork of local secondhand shopping into something closer to browsing an online store that happens to be three streets over.

Garage sale questions, answered

What hosts ask before their first sale β€” pricing, cost, signage, and leftovers.

What is the best app to list a garage sale?

The app you want is the one that does the pricing and the signage, because that is where the weekend goes. ZaZooomIt's garage sale mode builds the item list for you: photograph each table or shelf and the AI detects the separate items in the scene, names them, and prices them from real resale comps. The sale gets a page on zazooomit.com with your dates, a map pin, an optional rain date, and a browsable item list, plus your own QR code, printable price tags, and yard signs. Shoppers can also find the sale in the ZaZooomIt garage sale finder for free.

How do you price items for a yard sale?

Work from real resale comps rather than a percentage of the original price. Common guidance is 10 to 30 percent of retail β€” closer to 10 for clothing and worn goods, closer to 30 or above for tools, furniture, and anything with brand demand β€” but two items that cost the same new can be worth very different amounts used. ZaZooomIt prices each item from what comparable used items sell for and gives you a range plus a suggested price, so you can price a whole table in one pass and still adjust anything by hand. Price in whole dollars, group cheap items into bundles, and expect to discount on the last day.

How much does it cost to run a garage sale on ZaZooomIt?

It is a flat fee per sale, not a commission: $19.99 covers one sale of up to 100 items and $39.99 covers one sale of up to 250. Note that this is separate from listing credits β€” a garage sale plan buys an item cap for that sale, not credits you spend on individual listings, even though the dollar amounts match. The fee includes the sale page, the QR code, the printable price tags, the yard signs, the bundle ad you can share on Facebook, Craigslist, or Nextdoor, and a leftover bundle ad after the sale. You keep everything you take at the sale. Browsing sales as a shopper is free and needs no account.

Do I need to photograph every item separately?

No. That is the point of scanning a scene: take a photo of a table, a shelf, or a garage bay and the AI finds the individual items in it and creates a per-item entry with its own cropped photo and price. You photograph surfaces, not objects.

What happens to whatever does not sell?

Leftovers become a bundle ad you can share, or you can list the better items individually as full AI-written, comp-priced ads and post them to the marketplaces you already use. Nothing has to go back into the garage.

Does the garage sale finder work in Canada?

Yes. Sale discovery and search work across the United States and Canada, by ZIP code or Canadian postal code.
